KYIV (QHA) - With the introduction of the Cyrillic domain Ukraine is among 50 states, which also operate the national domain names, reports Ukrinform.
"It's good that Ukraine is among the countries that have established the national domain structure. In the world there are about 50 of them," – stated Doctor of Public Administration, Deputy Vice-President of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine Andriy Semenchenko.
Semenchenko believes new domain is an opportunity for Ukrainian companies to identify themselves more clearly.
As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine will soon launch the national public Cyrillic top-level domain .укр.
On August 22, the domain will start register addresses of public authorities in Ukrainian language; Prime Minister Nykolay Azarov announced this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday.
The final version of the management system will be known after the approval of the concept for the implementation and development of the domain .укр.
