According to the official website of the NTU "KPI" Welding faculty on Facebook, it took Dmitry Lipko only three months to create a virtually new car.

“Three months of design, disassembly and assembly, father’s help. And here's the result. The car rides 50 km in the urban cycle, which is quite enough to travel to the university and home. The design has been tested in the 2000 km,” the website informs.

A used "humpbacked" Zaporozhets car has turned into the electric due to the replacement of engine by the electrical one, adding batteries and the electronic control unit.

Reference: The electric car is a car designed for on-road travel in cities, small towns, and trips out of town. Its main difference from the ordinary car is that the vehicle has an electric motor instead of the internal combustion engine.
