Interactive books have been available on the market for quite some time. However, this time it will take a gadget to make them come alive.

A new gadget developed by Google turns a book into a virtual entertainment device.

Being placed between a book’s pages, the gadget responds to the reader’s actions by animating pictures and adding new details to them.

It was reported earlier that Microsoft took out a patent for a similar technology last year. The company developed an e-book capable of reading text and playing interactive pictures.
