LDPR (Liberal Democratic Party of Russia) leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky proposed to resettle 2.3 mln people from Russian northern regions to annexed Crimea.
-We ought to resettle population to the south, as many people live permanently in the north in difficult conditions. In Soviet period it was believed that it is necessary to build cities on the territory, but there is no need in them, Zhirinovsky said on air with Russian News Service radio.
He also wants Russia-annexed Crimea to have government agencies, Departments of the Ministry of Sports and Culture.
- All Russian kings went on holiday to Crimea. It may become a permanent residence. Crimea has a great future in all fields, summed up Zhirinovsky.
