Chinese Peoples Republic supports Ukrainian sovereignty, said Zhang Xiyun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine, at a round table on the bilateral relations development.
Zhang Xiyun confirmed China's interest in the successful development of Ukraine and expressed hope for fruitful future cooperation. The diplomat recalled the ‘Silk Road’, having exemplified the need for close dialogue between the two countries.
The Ambassador drew attention to the Ukraine’s role in the victory over fascism, having accepted the Japan’s surrender aboard the ‘Missouri’ US Navy battleship. He is hopeful of Ukraine being able to overcome difficulties and get out of crisis.
Zhang Xiyun invited to visit the monuments and mausoleums, built in China in memory of Ukrainian soldiers defending China.
