The imposition of the state of emergency in Turkey will not affect the daily life of citizens, the Prime Minister Binali Yildirim stated in his Twitter.
- The settlement is not applied to the daily life of citizens. Its aim is to provide consistent and quick work of the state bodies, - Yıldırım wrote.
He also noted that it was possible to prevent a military coup in the country particularly thanks to the residents of Turkey.
- Do not leave the streets. Our greatest strength lies in the fact that you have responded to our call and helped thereby to prevent a coup, - the Prime Minister appealed to the citizens.
Today, July 21, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has imposed a three-month state of emergency.
It should be reminded that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Binali Yildirim informed of a military coup attempt during the night of 15 to 16 July. Responsibility for the occurrence was at once taken over by a part of the Turkish military, who declared the seizure of power in the country. By Saturday morning July 16 the Turkish authorities managed to regain control over the situation. As a result of night clashes 240 people were killed, and the number of injured reached 1,535 persons. As of now, 8660 rebels have been detained.
