KYIV (QHA) -

The West should impose an embargo on Russian oil since the Russian President Vladimir Putin will abandon the occupied Crimea only in the face of the collapse of the whole of Russia, according to the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov.

“The embargo on Russian energy ... Today, oil prices moving upward again, almost $ 70 a barrel already, which gives confidence to Putin in his further aggressive plans. The embargo on Russian energy resources for at least one and a half years is a complete collapse of the Russian economy.”

He noted that the threat of the collapse of the Russian Federation "should force any person who will govern it, to abandon territorial claims to its neighbors and return the Crimea for the sake of saving Russia itself."

“Unfortunately, we, as a Ukrainian state, are not doing everything possible to convince and unite our partners. We ourselves are not in a position to pursue such a policy to ... put Putin on his knees. But the united world can do this. For this we need to constantly demonstrate our sacrifice, mobilization. Instead of being distracted by dozens of issues of internal life, it is necessary to save the state itself.”

Earlier, Refat Chubarov said that the bandit, who feels the inevitability of the international court, cannot stop in attempts to humiliate Ukraine. He expressed confidence that Russia will still have to pay compensation for all its actions against Ukraine.
