Crimean deputy Premier Rustam Temirgaliev approved of so-called “referendum” in Donetsk and Luhansk regions of east Ukraine, held on May 11 and said he is expecting ‘self-determination’ of other Ukraine’s regions.
“Despite of Kyiv ‘illegitimate authorities’ tried to disrupt the referendum, Donetsk and Luhansk residents chose independence”- Temirgaliev wrote on Facebook.
“Now we are expecting self-determination of Odessa and Kharkiv regions”- he added.
According to the provisional results, announced by the so-called head of the Central Elections Commission of the self-proclaimed "People's republic of Donetsk" Roman Lyahin, 89.07 % voted in favor of the independence in Donetsk region, turnover is 74.87%.
Still, the sociologists claim the vast majority of Donetsk and Luhansk region inhabitants have ignored the so-called "referendum" thus they didn't supported the insurgents.
To recall, such regional referendums does not meet Ukrainian legislation, so their results are recognized illegitimate.
Moreover, EU, US and OSCE claimed they would not recognize the results of so-called referendum.
