KYIV (QHA) - Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights and interethnic relations considered the bill “Of restoration of the rights of persons who were deported by ethnic origin” on June 5.
According to the press service of the Majlis of Crimean Tatar nation, this bill submitted by the Chairman of the Majlis, MP Mustafa Cemil was adopted by the parliament at the first reading was sent to the committee to prepare it for the second reading. Except the committee’s members, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada and Council of Ministries of the ARC, officials of the Ukrainian ministries and agencies, leading experts participated in a discussion in question.
As a result of this discussion, participants defined some antinomies in proposed amendments to the bill. The committee’s members decided to consider finally all opinions concerning the bill during next their sitting.
In his turn, the MP Mustafa Cemil examines a possibility to form a special working group within framework of the subcommittee headed by him to study amendments submitted by other deputies and were not adopted by the members of the committee in order to prepare a separate draft legislation.
