Not more than two weeks are left before elections, and voters still cannot deal with innovations. Despite the fact that the law On Local Elections was adopted six months ago, a lot of Ukrainians are not familiar with its features, reported Ukrinform citing Olga Aivazovskaya, a coordinator of the parliamentary and election programs for Support Organization.

According to Aivazovskaya, some people do not even understand how to fill in the ballot papers that is clear from the results of focus group discussions with voters.

A new ballot paper has been tested in the focus groups. Many participants did not understand what exactly the names in brackets mean, people are puzzled by the fact thatwhile in some districts two or more candidates can be selected, in the others - none.

Ayvazovskaya says it isn’t like for voter turnout to be high Oct. 25.
