Out of  288 deputies of Ukrainian Parliament Verkhovna Rada voted for new speaker of Parliament.

Member of opposition fraction Batkivshchyna MP Oleksandr Turchynov has been appointed chairman of Ukrainian Parliament.

Batkivshchyna MP Arsen Avakov was appointed acting Ukrainian interior minister, Ukrinform reports.

29 lawmakers have withdrawn from the Party of Regions' faction in the Ukrainian Parliament.

Amid Ukrainian President had announced early presidential elections to be held in December 2014, thousands of protesters remain on Kyiv’s Independence Square demanding Yanukovych go immediately.

They’re sceptical of the deal under which he agreed to give up powers, hold early elections and form a new government.
