Parliament has passed the Amendments to Section 23 of the Law of Ukraine 4482 "On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization" (to exempt from mobilization conscription close relatives of persons who died during the direct participation in the antiterrorist operation).
An author of the bill, an MP Olga Bogomolets commented on the bill:
- Under the changes to the Law on the Mobilization the close relatives of persons who died in ATO won’t be mobilized, said the MP.
In general, the bill was supported by 284 MPs. Under the legislative act, the persons liable for military service are not subject to mobilization if their close relatives (husband, wife, son, daughter, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, mother (blood-, non- blood) brother or sister) died or went missing during the antiterrorist operation.
