Opening the plenary session on February 23, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy said that Ukraine does not forget about the Crimea and the Ukrainians, who live on the territory of the annexed peninsula.

Ensemble "Crimean family" of the Crimean Tatar cultural center performed at the Day of Crimea opening.


“We again remind of the Russian occupation of Crimea and part of Donbas. We must not forget the occupied Crimea, and the fate of those Ukrainians who remained under occupation, and must not accept it. Nobody has the right to trade Ukraine. We will liberate the Crimea because the Crimea is Ukraine,” the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada said.

Today, the Deputies Mustafa Dzhemilev, Refat Chubarov and Georgiy Logvinskiy are scheduled to speak in Verkhovna Rada, as well as Director of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union Advocacy Center Boris Zakharov.

Program activities provided opening of the photo exhibition "The fight through the years" by the Crimean photographer Baykus as well as Crimean arts and crafts Exhibition "Zincir. Links of Memory "by painter and sculptor Rustem Skibin. In addition, a charity event will be held in support of political prisoners’ children in Crimea "Helping Hand"-a fair of souvenirs with the Crimean Tatar symbols and Crimean Tatar sweets from the best restaurants, as well as master classes and performance of a children's choir.

At 14:30 on the sidelines of the third floor, a presentation of the international expert group will start. The presentation reports on the events of February 26, 2014 outside the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Parubiy invited the colleagues to explore the exhibitions dedicated to Crimea and displayed on the sidelines of the Parliament, during the working brakes.
