WASHINGTON (QHA) -

Following the attack of the Assad regime and the Russian aircraft against the humanitarian convoy in Syria, the State Department of the United States is ready to re-assess the prospects of cooperation with the Russian Federation.

The Department’s spokesman John Kirby strongly condemned this attack, noting that the parties knew exactly about the convoy:

“The route of the convoy was known both to the Syrian regime and Russia. However, humanitarian workers died trying to deliver aid to the Syrians.”

According to the State Department, Bashar al-Assad has obstructed delivery of UN humanitarian aid for Syrians for a week.

"Tank bombs" were dropped from helicopters on humanitarian convoy consisting of 20 freight trucks that headed to the area of Urum al-Kubra (Aleppo). The attack burned the trucks, which were to deliver aid for 75 thousand Syrians, moreover, the attack killed 12 people and 18 are severely injured.

During a week-long ceasefire in Syria, established on the first day of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, President Bashar al-Assad's forces 254 times violated the ceasefire in 34 districts of the country, reported the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces in Syria.
