ANKARA (QHA) -

The US Secretary of State John Kerry in a telephone conversation with the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu reported that the Kurdish terrorists [PYD / YPG is an offshoot of the Syrian Kurdish terrorists - Ed.] are leaving the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, according to the AA agency.

The US assumed this duty as a part of an agreement between Washington and Ankara on the operations in the northern Syria. Earlier, Binali Yildirim said that the US guaranteed the retreat of Kurdish militants in Myunbiche to the east of the Euphrates River.

The politicians discussed the sequence of action to halt the fighting and to establish a long-term truce in Syria as well. Cooperation within the framework of military operations, the "Euphrates Shield" will continue.

"Shield of the Euphrates" is a joint military operation in the north of Syria against ISIS terrorism conducted by special Turkish Armed Forces operation group and the coalition Air Forces. The operation aims to clean the frontier regions from the militants, strengthen border security and to provide the territorial integrity of Syria.

It began in the early morning of August 24. The operation aims to clean the frontier regions from the militants, strengthen border security, provide the territorial integrity of Syria, as well as to prevent the formation of "Kurdish corridor" PYD on the southern border.
