Washington does not rule out the possibility to introduce additional sanctions against Russia for violating the intermediate and short range missiles treaty, according to the Deputy Secretary of State Rose Gottemoeller during a House Foreign Affairs Committee Meeting as cited by Ukrinform.

- We continue considering the economic restrictions in connection with the INF Treaty, but have not rendered a final decision yet, said Gottemoeller.

She also said "Russia does not want to admit wrongdoing, and instead flinges counteraccusation at the United States."

According to Gottemoeller, the US will respond to such actions in collaboration with its allies.

- We will continue studing the situation and work closely with our allies on a number of diplomatic, economic and military issues aimed at protecting the interests of the United States and our allies, said the Deputy Secretary of State.
