WASHINGTON (QHA) -

The US Senate has passed the Pentagon budget for 2016, which provides for the possibility of $300 million assistance to Ukraine, Valeriy Chaly, Ukrainian Ambassador to the US, posted on his Facebook page.

“On November 10, 2015, the US Senate has approved, 91 to 3 votes, the revised US budget for the needs of national defence, which allows the US Defence Secretary in coordination with the US Secretary of State to provide military assistance to Ukraine in amount of $300 million during the fiscal year 2016,” says a statement on the Facebook page.

According to Valeriy Chaly, $50 million may be used to provide defence weapons to Ukraine. 

This year, the United States has already provided the defence assistance to Ukraine: anti-mortar radars, Humvee vehicles, trainings for the military, etc.
