WASHINGTON (QHA) -

Considering the draft US defense budget for 2017, the US Congress has approved the financial assistance in the amount of $ 350 million to Ukraine to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, a source in the Senate Committee on Armed Services reports.

Next, the document approving the draft defense budget will be transmitted to the current US President Barack Obama.

In addition to military aid to Ukraine the draft includes $ 3.4 billion to strengthen the military presence of NATO in Europe.

It’s worth mentioning that the US Congress approved in September this year a law to extend sanctions against Russia until it fully complies with its obligations under the Minsk agreements.
