NEW YORK (QHA) -

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al-Hussein called for the restriction of the veto power of the UN Security Council MPs. He explained that such a decision should be taken to prevent serious crimes, according to Espresso.

The Commissioner specified that the veto should be restricted in dealing with war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.

In this context, he recalled that over the last 10 days, air strikes on the Syrian Aleppo have become the most intense since 2011.
