UN: Human rights violated in Crimea

The twelfth report by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on the situation for human rights in Ukraine is based on the observations of the monitoring mission.

Systematic violations of human rights in Crimea continue, according to the report published on the website of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

“Residents of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, continue to suffer from limitation of their rights due to restrictions of legal framework imposed by the Russian Federation. The UN Observer Mission on Human Rights in Ukraine continues to receive reports on violation of right to life, liberty, security, bodily integrity, a fair trial, as well as rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly,” reads the report.
