Crimean Tatar may become official language in Ukraine.

The civil movement “common isssue” initiated this, reports press service of the organization.

Coordinator of the movement Aleksandr Danilyuk referred the initiative to the fact, that Crimean Tatars are indigenous people of Crimea.

“Ukrainians are able to preserve and develop their identity on the mainland Ukraine, still Crimean Tatars are deprived of this right. Our target is to create all the conditions to preserve the culture of our citizens, who de facto live in condition of ethnic segregation” – Danilyuk said.

Parliament of Ukraine declared Crimean Tatars indigenous people of Crimea on March 20.
