November 1, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution amending the earlier decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On the conclusions and proposals to the draft Law of Ukraine on State Budget of Ukraine for 2017" according to a QHA correspondent.
264 People's Deputy voted for a corresponding decision.
“Increasing the salaries for parliamentarians is an unacceptable solution for the country, which has been, in fact, in a state of war for more than two years,” says MP Pavel Penzenyk.
October 20, the Verkhovna Rada almost doubled the salaries of people's deputies.
According to the document, the base salary of the head of the Verkhovna Rada of Andrei Parubiy had increased to 43.5 thousand UAH, which is 30 minimal Ukrainian wages. The salary of the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Irina Gerashchenko rose up to 40.6 thousand UAH which is 28 minimal salaries, and wages of a people's deputy was to be 25 "minimals", which equals to 36.250 thousand UAH.
