KYIV (QHA) -

The website of the diplomatic department posted a corresponding Statement.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its strong protest to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in connection with another inconsistent visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to the territory of Ukraine, temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which began on October 26, 2016.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly stressed the inadmissibility of the Russian officials’ stays uncoordinated with Ukraine in the sovereign territory of our state in its internationally recognized borders, which include the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

Ukraine considers this and other similar so-called "visits" of the Russian leadership as a further attempts to  legitimize the illegal annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, which have already led to economic, social and humanitarian issues on the peninsula, as well as the demonstrative neglect of the State Sovereignty of Ukraine, the UN Charter, UN General Assembly Resolution A / RES / 68/262 «Territorial integrity of Ukraine," the Baku Declaration and the resolutions of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, obligatory under the Treaty on friendship, cooperation and partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation of 1997, and other rules of the International law.

Foreign Ministry of Ukraine states that the responsibility for this and other violations, pursuant to the International law, is assigned to the Russian Federation as an occupier-state, its officials, as well as the so-called illegitimate "Crimean authorities in power" and their representatives who take illegal decisions and commit unlawful acts.

An appropriate note of protest was sent to the Russian Foreign Ministry.”

Earlier the Press Secretary to the Russian President Peskov stated that Putin was going to visit Yalta on October 26 to participate in the discussion on the "Crimean affairs".
