Ukraine expresses protest in connection with new searches and detentions in the Crimea, according to the message of the Speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa.

According to her, the occupants are turning the Autonomous Republic of Crimea into territory of terror and lawlessness.

“We once again condemn the illegal actions of the Russian Federation and express our protest," Betsa wrote on her Twitter page.

QHA reported that today December 12, in the occupied Crimea, in the village of Urozhayne of the Sovetski district, the law enforcement officers conducted a search in the house of the Chairman of the Urozhayne Mejlis, a member of the regional Mejlis Ibrahim Osmanov.
The security forces did not present any warrant and did not name the causes of what was happening. After the search, Osmanov’s son Rustem was arrested. He was taken to the Bakhchysara district police department.
