The parties have agreed on cooperation in practically all sectors of the economy, as well as in scientific and cultural fields.

The meeting began with the presentation for the Turkish partners of the cost-effective and promising fields of activity in Kherson region - tourism and agriculture. In response, the delegation from Mersin told about the economy and prospects for tourism in their region. Mr. Burhanettin Kocamaz, Mayor of Mersin City, summed up:

“I hope that relationships we are beginning today will continue. We are ready to share our experience and provide help and support. All the industries are very interesting for business and investments. We will tell the Turkish businessmen about the potential of the Kherson region. I hope that the signed Agreement will give a good result.”

It should be noted that Turkey is the largest investor in the Kherson region: over $4 billion has been already invested in agriculture, processing industry, trade and repair of vehicles.

Persons unknown tried to disrupt the signing.
