November 11, 2016, the judge of the Dnipro District Court of Kyiv, Nikolai Chaus, was included in the international database on wanted criminals. Once he is found, he will be extradited to Ukraine and imputed criminal penalties of 8 to 12 years' imprisonment, according to Part 4 of Article. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely "acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of undue advantage by an official."
August 9, 2016, detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine exposed the judge Chaus on receiving a bribe of $ 150 thousand.
It was reported earlier that Ukrainian MPs, by their decision, lifted the immunity from judge Chaus for his further detention, but he managed to leave the territory of Ukraine prior to being taken into custody.
