ANKARA (QHA) -

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine in Turkey Andrii Sybiha held a working meeting with the Head of the Parliamentary Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Volkan Bozkir.

According to the message of the Turkish politician on his page on Twitter, the sides discussed the possibilities of expanding economic ties between the two countries, the schedule of meetings between Ukrainian and Turkish parliamentarians and the situation in the region.

“I received Ambassador of Ukraine to Ankara, HE Andrii Sybiha. We discussed our bilateral political & economic relations; envisaged parliamentary visits and exchanged views on the recent developments in our region.." He wrote.

In turn, the Ukrainian diplomat also commented on the meeting.

Sybiha noted that the meeting was fruitful.

“Fruitful meeting with Chairman HE V. Bozkir-pleasure to note friendly relations,high level of cooperation &understanding between the legislative bodies of UA and TR, mutually beneficialinterparliamentary cooperation plays an important role in shaping the climate of bilateral re- s,” the ambassador wrote on his page in Twitter.

Earlier, QHA reported that Crimean Tatars living in Turkey in the city of Gebze of Kocaeli province supported the marathon for paying fines for participants of one-person pickets in the annexed Crimea, according to the human rights organization "Crimean solidarity".
