Ukrainian activists, held up while laying flowers to the Taras Shevchenko monument in Simferopol, have been released.
The police never explained the reason for their detainment, Mikhail Batrak, Ukrainian Cultural Center activist, is reported by Argymenty Nedeli as saying.
According to Batrak, Leonid Kuzminykh and Maksim Kizminykh, were held in police custody for more than 2 hours, before being let go and apologized to.
