Ukraine has increased the number of missile troops and artillery since 2014.
According to BBC reports, the number of combat-ready units of missile troops and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine increased three times from after 2014.
Implementation of C4ISR would be a breakthrough for the Ukrainian army, according to the head of the delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Iryna Friz.
“We are trying to agree on the need to implement C4ISR command and control system in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It will be a real revolution for our army,” said Iryna Friz.
It should be noted that C4ISR system includes command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance fields in the armed forces. According to Friz, support of NATO in the framework of comprehensive assistance package has helped Kyiv to intensify research in the field of security and defense sector reforms. Creating a C4ISR system is part of the Strategic Defense Bulletin of Ukraine, which defines the development of the defense sector until 2021. Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance will provide its continued support for Ukraine.
