Ukraine’s sanctions to take effect after published in official edition

Sanctions against the Russian Federation will take effect after the publication of the presidential decree in the Ukrainian official editions.

The decision of the Ukrainian authorities to slap sanctions on individuals and entities will enter into force after the publication of the decree of Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko in official editions, reported the presidential administration.

- This decision shall enter into force after its publication in the Voice of Ukraine and Governmental Courier newspapers, the press service of the Presidential Administration told the Interfax agency.

As reported earlier, by decree of Sept 16 Poroshenko carried into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Sept. 2 on the use of individual sanctions against more than 90 entities and 400 individuals in Russia and other countries subject to sanctions.
