Oksana Vasilyeva, Head of the Department for National Minorities and Religion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, joined the working session of the Coordination Council of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars being held in Kyiv today. Oksana Vasilyeva voiced extensive support of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin.
"Crimean Tatars are going through difficult times as well as the whole of Ukraine. Just in this period, we should act in a coherent manner. There is no doubt that Ukraine belongs to the European community," said the diplomat.
Oksana Vasilyeva also assured the attending members of the Coordination Council of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars that the Minister of Foreign Affairs raises the issue of violation of Crimean Tatars' rights at all international levels.
"There was no one international meeting, where the Minister Pavlo Klimkin would have not mentioned the problems of Crimean Tatars. The Foreign Minister is involved in addressing the issues of the peninsular occupation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also is intended to continue close cooperation to help the Crimean Tatars to live peacefully in their native land," said Oksana Vasilyeva during a working session of the Executive Committee.
