KYIV (QHA) - In the nearest future Ukraine will get observer status at the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
"The memorandum on Ukraine's involvement [as observer] in the Customs Union will be signed in the next few days at the meeting of CIS heads of governments in Minsk," Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said at a joint press conference with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana on Wednesday.
He said the presidents of Customs Union countries and Ukraine gave corresponding instructions to their prime ministers.
