A meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission (NUC) at the level of heads of state and government is to be held in 2014, and the previous such meeting was held in Bucharest in 2008, Ukraine's Mission to NATO has told an Ukrinform correspondent in Brussels, according to Ukrinform. "During a meeting between the Ukrainian president and the NATO secretary general in New York on September 24 the sides discussed preparations for holding the next NUC meeting at the highest level [the NATO-Ukraine summit], which is scheduled for 2014," the mission reported. The NATO-Ukraine summit is to be held as part of the NATO summit next year. NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said earlier that the next NATO summit in 2014 would focus on the completion of the activity of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF). However, the venue and the exact date of the high-level meeting have yet to be determined.
