Putin is exchanging his mercenaries sent to fight in Ukraine, to political prisoners who have become hostages to the bandit policy of the Russian Federation. Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov made a corresponding statement at a press conference in Kyiv.
According to him, Russia openly demonstrates disrespect to international law, and no one can make it comply with its norms.
“There was a decision of the International Court of Justice to abolish the ban on the activities of the Mejlis and the entry of its leaders into the Crimea. Russia must fulfill them, but can we see that it does not. The Russian leadership is inclined to fulfill anything based solely on its own interests," Chubarov emphasized.
The Head of Mejlis also believes that in some cases against Crimean political prisoners Russia violates even its own legislation.
Earlier QHA reported that in 2017, another 16 political prisoners appeared in the Crimea.
