Ukraine Foreign Ministry not concerned about the decision of Mejlis

Ukraine Foreign Ministry is not concerned about the decision of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people.

Director of Information Policy Department of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Yevgeniy Perebiynis announced at the briefing.

“They have the right to make those decisions they are making. We understand them, as the situation in Crimea is difficult and extraordinary for Crimean Tatars”- he said. We know that Crimean Tatars stand for territory integrity of Ukraine and recognize neither the annexation of Crimea, nor the referendum”- he added.

To recall, Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people made a decision to cooperate with Crimean authorities.

Lenur Islyamov was appointed Crimean deputy premier, and Zaur Smirnov appointed head of the republican committee for nationalities and deported citizens.
