Ukraine demands that Russia compensate for the losses related to its actions in Crimea and in the east of the country.
It has filed complaints to the international aviation organization and international maritime arbitration, Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko has said, according to Interfax-Ukarine.
"We recorded 3,360 cases of the violation by Russian companies of our aviation space and are imposing penalties - every day it's about $1 million. As of yesterday it was about UAH 200 million. These amounts were presented to the Russian side, and we filed a complaint"- he said.
"The consideration procedure is the following: ICAO establishes the fact of illegal crossing of our airspace and then obliges Russia to compensate for the losses," he noted.
The minister added: "We are doing the same thing within seaports. There will be a similar domestic arbitration procedure, and a bill will be presented on our losses for the missed opportunity to use our ports"- Petrenko added.
