Ukraine and the Swiss Confederation signed the agreement on visa-free travelling and readmission, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov reported in Twitter.
“On behalf of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and I signed the agreement on visa-free regime and readmission with Switzerland. Europe is getting even closer!” the Minister noted.
Earlier, On April 6, the European Parliament supported granting of visa-free travelling to the EU countries for Ukraine, and on April 26 the procedure was confirmed by the EU ambassadors. The official signing ceremony was held on May 17 in Strasbourg. President Petro Poroshenko led Ukrainian delegation.
Visa-free travelling to the EU countries for Ukraine will come into force on the night of 10 to 11 June.
