KIEV (QHA) -

As of October 25, no tickets for Russia-bound flights will be available.

Yuriy Miroshnikov, UIA’s President, said his company is in negotiations with none of the Russian air carriers sanctioned by Ukraine, reports segodnya.ua. He went on to say that UIA would not be selling tickets for Russia-bound flights starting from October 25. Miroshnikov estimated that about 13, 000 passengers would cancel and refund their bookings with UIA.

It was reported earlier that a number of Russian air carriers, including Aeroflot, were banned from flying to Ukraine by the Ukrainian authorities.

In a reciprocal move, the Russian Transport Ministry forbade Ukrainian air carriers from using Russian airspace as of October 25, 2015.
