(QHA) - U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt has said that the U.S. Senate adopted a resolution on Ukraine, according to Ukrinform. He wrote this on his page on Twitter on Wednesday morning, BBC reported. "Last night the U.S. Senate approved a resolution expressing support for the Ukrainian people," Pyatt wrote. The resolution, in particular, states that the United States stands with the people of Ukraine and supports their sovereign right to chart an independent and democratic future for their country. The senators urged leaders in the United States and the European Union to continue working together actively to support a peaceful and democratic resolution to the current crisis in Ukraine and condemned the decision by the Ukrainian authorities to use violence against peaceful demonstrators on November 30, December 1, and December 11, 2013.
