Simferopol (QHA) - Kurultay of Crimean Tatar people gathered some prominent Ukrainian politicians. In particular, deputy head of “Batkivshchina” party Boris Tarasyuk spoke to Kurultay delegates. “The past century has brought a lot of suffering to Crimean Tatar people. Ukrainians also have gone through sufferings, the three famines…millions of Ukrainians died then. Same as deportation has killed many Crimean Tatars... Now, everything seems back to normal, the Crimean Tatars have returned to their motherland, but has democracy returned to Ukraine?” said Tarasyuk. After, he read out Yuia Tymoshenko’s address to Kurultay delegates. In her message, Tymoshenko expressed solidarity with Crimean Tatar people. She condemned recent mosques attacks and called on to act against incitement of interethnic hatred and the unlimited despotism and overall corruption. “We need to restore the violated by Stalin’s totalitarian regime rights of Crimean Tatars at their motherland. This is my clear position,” Tymoshenko said in a statement. “Together we will make efforts and raise our native Ukraine; together we will enter into a free family of European nations. Luck will be with us. Glory to the Crimean Tatar people, glory to Ukraine! Yours, Yulia Tymoshenko. "
