ANKARA (QHA) -

During the entrepreneurship awards ceremony, held by the Office for development and support of small and medium enterprises in Turkey, the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu slammed the statements by Selahattin Demirtaş, a co-chair with the Turkish People’s Democratic Party, that the latter made during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Davutoğlu said Demirtaş’s words are a betrayal.

- A statement made in Russia by a co-chair of the Turkish People’s Democratic Party that Turkey was wrong to down a Russian bomber is a shame and betrayal. It’s a treachery to arrive in Russia and openly voice the support while Russian jets are bombing innocent Turkmens, innocent Arabs, and innocent Kurds in Azeze, Aleppo, Idlib and Bayirbudzhak. It's not only carelessness, said Davutoglu.

During a meeting with Sergey Lavrov Selahattin Demirtas said he thinks it was wrong to bring down a Russian bomber that violated Turkish airspace. Thus he does not support the position of the Turkish government in this regard.
