Commenting on the airstrike Russian warplanes launched on a hospital in Syria, Turkey accused Russia of escalating the conflict in the region.

In their communiqué, the Turkish authorities condemned in very strong terms Russia’s actions, which are characterized as ‘a war crime’ under international law. According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, more than 100 people were wounded in the airstrike.

It is emphasized in the statement that Moscow is bound to face ‘serious consequences’ unless it stops any such action.
