The problem of blocking Ukrainian vehicles carrying freight between Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey has been settled, the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reports.
It clarifies that this issue was discussed during a telephone conversation between the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladimir Omeljan and Ambassador of the Turkish Republic to Ukraine Yönet Can Tezel.
“According to the Turkish side, the issue is settled,” says the statement of the press service.
At the request of the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, a bilateral work between the Ukrainian and Turkish authorities will be carried out in order to avoid similar situations in the future.
Earlier, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian motor carriers got into difficulties at the ports and checkpoints in Turkey. Employees of the Turkish regulatory authorities refused to register Ukrainian vehicles due to the fact that Ukrainian carriers have used up the quota of one-time bilateral permits for the second quarter.
