ANKARA (QHA) -

Ankara supports the deployment of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbas and is ready to participate in it, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko reported on Facebook.

It is noted that Poroshenko also discussed with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan the situation in the occupied Crimea. According to the report, it was about the release of Ukrainian political prisoners from Russian jails.

Separately, key areas for deepening bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as the possibility of implementing joint projects in the energy sector, were discussed as well.

Among the other topics considered was also trilateral cooperation between Ukraine, Turkey and Qatar.



 

QHA reported that the Head of the Ukrainian state held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic Mevlut Cavusoglu.

Earlier, on March 30 during his visit to Turkey, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu thanked the Turkish authorities for supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity.
