The newly elected President of the United States Donald Trump expressed his disappointment that the activities of the United Nations are only limited by discussions, according to his Twitter account.
“The United Nations has such great potential but right now it is just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time,” he tweeted.
Earlier, Trump made it clear that, upon taking office of U.S. President on January 20, 2017, he will try to make changes to the work of the world body.
“As to the United Nations, things will be different after January 20,” he promised.
As QHA reported earlier, the UN General Assembly at its 65th plenary session adopted the resolution, titled "Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Ukraine)" by a majority vote on December 19.
