WASHINGTON (QHA) -

US President Donald Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed a number of issues, including the conflict in the Donbas and and the situation in Afghanistan, during the phone talks, according to Reuters report.

"The leaders pledged close cooperation and coordination on these and other issues," the White House said in a statement.

 

Earlier, at the end of March, US President Donald Trump, during his meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, handed her a printed bill for 375 million USD. It spesified the amount, according to Trump, that  Germany did not spend on defense, despite the obligations to NATO.
