Trial over ‘Hizb ut-Tahrir’ held in Sevastopol

A lawyer Emil Kurbedinov arrived in Sevastopol to defend his clients.

Yesterday, a regular court hearing on extending the arrest of Ruslan Zeytullaev accused by the local "authorities" of terrorism (Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code) was held in Russia-occupied Crimea.

Earlier, a lawyer Emil Kurbedinov wrote on Facebook he went to the Sevastopol City Court.

The hearings on extending the arrest of three other defendants (Ferat Sayfullaev, Rustam Vaitov and Nuri Primov) will continue.

Also, a human rights activist Kurbedinov has not disregarded the shocking news about the disappearance of a young Crimean Tatar girl in the city of Simferopol.

- We all are worried over disappearance of a Crimean Tatar girl in Simferopol. May the Almighty give us all patience! Said Emil Kurbedinov.

Earlier this year, the persons involved in the case of a so-called "Hizb ut-Tahrir" have been detained by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation on suspicion of creating and participating in a terrorist organization.

As the QHA reported earlier, they are charged with an offense under Part. 2 Sect. 205.5 of the Russia’s Criminal Code (participating in the organization that under the legislation of the Russian Federation is recognized as a terrorist one).

Nov 10 the court extended the detention period for all four defendents up to to January, 22 2016.
