Trial of Jemilev's ban on entry Crimea to take place Jan 22: lawyer

A suit against Russian Migration Service, brought by Crimean Tatar leader, Commissioner of Ukrainian President on Crimean Tatar Affairs Mustafa Jemilev to take place Thursday, Jan 22, his lawyer Mark Feygin wrote in Twitter.

Crimean authorities in May banned Mustafa Jemilev from entering Crimea for 5 years accusing him of “extremist activity”.

Mark Feygin, has filed a lawsuit at Moscow's Basmanny Court to declare illegal Jemilev’s ban on entry into Russia, seeking legal grounds for the ban.

May 3, thousands of Crimean Tatars, came to Crimea’s northern city of Armyansk, close to Ukrainian border, to meet Jemilev. They now are facing fines and detentions, charged with assaulting police.
