Trial of Enver Mamutov only begins

A hearing of an appeal against the decision to extend the detention period of Enver Mamutov has been delayed for two hours.

A hearing of a lawyers’s appeal against the decision by the Kiev District Court to extend the detention term of Enver Mamutov, arrested in Bakhchysarai May 12, 2016, until July 11 has only started, CEC Head of the Kurultai of the Crimean Tatar People, Zair Smedlyaev told the QHA.

As it was reported earlier, the session of the so-called "Supreme Court" of Crimea was due to start at 10 a.m.

May 12, the armed men arrived in two buses in the town of Bakhchysarai. After searching the Karavansarai Salachik, a Crimean Tatar cultural center, policemen arrested four Crimean Tatars - Zevri Abseitov, Ramsey Memetov, Rustem Abiltarov and Enver Mamutov.

Reporting on the arbitrariness of the Crimean occupation authorities, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov wrote on Facebook that he did not rule out the possibility of new searches and detentions, and called on the Crimean Tatars to treat each other more attentively and carefully.
