WASHINGTON (QHA) -

The corresponding decision was voiced by Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. In particular, the ministry proposed Putin to announce 35 American diplomats, staying on the territory of Russia, personae non grata. In addition, Lavrov noted that the U.S. accusations of Russia’ meddling in American presidential elections are groundless, and Moscow will not leave Washington's sanctions unanswered acting on the principles of reciprocity.

As QHA reported earlier, the Kremlin reacted to the imposition of sanctions and expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats by America. This morning, December 30, Russian authorities ordered to shut down the country house of the U.S. embassy in Moscow, as well as the Anglo-American school, where children of diplomats from the U.S., UK and Canada are studying.
